We met today and continued our work on the RC car and solar stand. Solar Panel crew started to test the solar panel and build the stand. The students set up an experiment using blocks of wood and a multimeter. The solar panel was angled at 36 degrees to match our latitude. Students collected data every hour and logged all their information in their journals. The RC car group started working on the tests associated with the battery. Great job by everyone, we are beginning to come together with ideas and hope to have most of the experiments and activities required for our technical report.
In class this week students used the Satellite Meteorology website for the clouds section. They completed the cloud module and activities. They then completed a quiz on Discovery Education. Most students felt the module was easy to understand and informative. I hope to implement other modules as we go through the rest of the Meteorology Unit.
